RETURN TO AN ORDER OF
THE HONOURABLE HOUSE OF COMMONS, Dated 25th April 1877;- for
RETURN "of the several seizures made, and of the prosecutions for breach of the laws relating to tobacco, between the 5th day of January 1864 and the 5th day of January 1877, distinguishing those in Great Britain from those in Ireland; specifying the places where, and the names of the persons prosecuted, or from whom the seizures were made; the quantities and kinds of goods seized; the results of the examination of the goods, by analysis or otherwise, when seized for adulteration; whether any and what judicial proceedings were taken in each case; result of such proceedings; and amount of fine paid or imprisonment suffered (in continuation of Parliamentary paper, No. 286, of session 1864)"
The following information has been transcribed from a booklet, owned by the Webmaster, it has been transcribed in full by me, verbatim. I have proof read several times, but as always I would be happy to accept any reasonable requests to re-check my transcribing. There is no other information whatsoever on this booklet, I have 'drained it dry'.
