This image, depicts three pupils what were sentenced to the West of England and South Wales Industrial School for Catholic boys.
To the right of the seated pupil is my father Owen Dennis.
The exact date is unknown, circa 1910 & 1916. At the age of 14 my father was given the choice of working in the mines or joining the army, he chose the latter and was enlisted in the Somerset Light Infantry.
